In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
